The Inspiration
As he listened to the testimonies in church, he clapped the loudest and nodded the most frequently. Yet he said, “God, I am happy for what you are doing in the lives of these people. I wish my case was like theirs. Mine is a hopeless situation. It has deteriorated beyond your power. I cannot even hope for a miracle…”
Sarah laughed within herself when she was told she would have a child. It was not a laugh of excitement or joy. It was a mocking laugh. She probably said, “My case is a hopeless situation. I cannot imagine it. God, let’s not go there. Talk about something else more realistic. For me, it is finished.”
God simply responded, “Is there anything to hard for the Lord?” [1]
You think your situation is hopeless. You think it is finished. Age and time only makes matters worse. You have dreamt too often but it ended up shattered and not realized. You are at the point where you are tired of hoping and dreaming.
You may have made several attempts. Yet you met disappointments. Maybe doors shut at your face. Each one leaving cracks in your heart.
It is time to dream and hope again. It is time to ignite your faith. Because there is nothing too hard for God. He says that we shall dream dreams [2]. And if He puts a dream in our heart, there must be something to make it come to pass.
And it shall come to pass that the LORD shall give you rest from your sorrow and from your fear and from the bondage you have been serving [3]. He will restore to you all the years taken from you that men may know He is the LORD your God, and His people shall never be ashamed [4].
He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask or think [5].
Dare to dream…again…

That Bold Step of Faith
Time to surrender
I have struggled to that point

The Inspiration
“I really worry about your work,” Emily voiced her concern to her husband. “It not only keeps you out late, it leaves you exhausted by the time you return home.”
She set his breakfast before him then sat down adjacent to him.
He reached out and stroked her face lovingly then said, “I’m believing God for a better job.”
“Amen,” she said half-heartedly.
As he pounced on his delicious meal, he said to himself, “If only she knew that I am not a night-shift bar tender!”
After he lost his job, he accepted the offer to be a lover to a rich lady. His reason was he wanted to continue being the “man of the house”. He had to provide somehow. Though he was getting money from the lady, he was not happy with his life and the secret he was keeping from his wife. Every time he prayed he said, “God, if only you could give me a job, I will not do this again.”
Sometimes, when we do not get answers to prayers, it is because we are not acting in faith. God is simply waiting for us to do what is right and trust him completely amidst what our current situation is saying. For without faith, it is impossible to please God [Hebrews 11:6].
I saw faith in action when a friend of mine announced that she had quit her job.
“Which job are you moving to?”
“None,” she said casually, “I am just waiting on God to give me the job He has for me. He is my provider.”
Then I realized she had taken a bold step of faith. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see [Hebrews 11:1 NLT]. She was not waiting to see the job physically before making the move. She knew it will come.
Many a times, we get used to our comfort zones that we do not want to take that bold step of faith that will lead us to what God truly has for us. Fear is one spirit that comes into operation here. But today, I want you to know that you can overcome anything that will prevent you from receiving God’s best for you. For Jesus Christ has overcome everything for you [John 16:33].
What are you believing God for? Take that bold step of faith to receive it. Do you need to do away with someone or something? Do you need to sow a seed? Do you need to change your location? Listen to the gentle voice of the spirit telling you what you should do. Obey. Though you may not know what the future holds, that bold step of faith will lead you to what God has reserved for you before the foundation of the world.

Lacuna
Lacuna
As seconds ticked
And minutes passed
The days turned to years
History was taking place
A glance from today
Shows something missing in history
A time when nothing happened
A time when all was still:
A lacuna
But I had to see
With my spiritual eyes
That the Lacuna
Was a period
When you showed again
That you alone
Are God
And that is why
When I think of time
When I think of days
I know assuredly
You are not bound by time.
The Inspiration
To the outsider, there were few explanations for why the fourth child of the Harrys came seven years after the third. Some guessed that boy was a mistake – the parents wanted 3 and he came when they did not expect. Some assumed it must have been strict birth control. The truth was that it was seven years when God showed Himself strong [2 Chronicles 16:9].
The Harrys had planned to have four children. This they agreed with God, the third part of the cord [Ecclesiastics 4:12]. Everything was going as planned. The children were coming after every two years. All of a sudden, from nowhere, tragedy hit them. Mrs. Harrys fell ill, suffering from an illness doctors could not trace. Mr Harry lost his very comfy job. Life seemed to be a nightmare.
It was seven years of hoping on God for healing. It was seven years of having faith for a better tomorrow. It was seven years of finding out who were friends and family. It was seven years of getting knowledge and understanding which no education can give. Knowledge and understanding that with God, nothing is impossible [Luke 1:37].
This scenario reminded me of the word “Lacuna” that is why I entitled this message so. Geologists call Lacuna a gap, a break in normal sequence, a period when nothing can be traced. In life, there appears to be Lacunas, periods when it seems nothing is happening, days are going by and desires seem further away. And when you look back, it seems there is a break. For instance, you leave school and after 4 years you do not have a job. You might feel your life is meaningless those 4 years and then continues when you get the job. With God, there is no break in sequence, there is no gap. He is always there. And every moment matters to Him.
But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think [2 Peter 3:8-9]. In case you doubt the word of God, well there is something the scientists (geologists) have proven which I will share with you. They have proven that plant life started before animal life, but separated by thousands (or millions) of years. They have also proven that man came to earth after all other life forms.

These confirm the sequence of the account of the creation [Genesis 1: 1-31]. Yet what they call thousands and millions of years is nothing but a day in the eyes of God.
When the Harrys look at their last child, the child of the seven-year lacuna, they are reminded of God’s faithfulness [Deuteronomy 7:9]. He truly watches over His word to perform it [Jeremiah 1:12]. He has said that He is the Lord that heals you [Exodus 15:26]. He said He has heard your prayers and seen your tears [2 Kings 20:5]. He said He has washed away your sins [Isaiah 1:18]. He said He is the one who teaches you to profit and leads you in the way you should go [Isaiah 48:17]. He has said that His thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways His ways [Isaiah 55:8].
Yes, there were days when they wondered if there was God. There were moments when their lips almost confessed that they were forsaken. There were days when they came close to doubting the efficacy of the word of God. Every sunrise was a reminder of the pain they were going through. Yet every crack of dawn brought a new day of hope, expecting everyday. They lived each day as it came.
Tomorrow you may look back at today and realize it is one of the days of a lacuna in your life. But more importantly, it is one day that the Lord has given you, to take you closer to your destiny, to take you closer to the realization of your desire. He is faithful that promised. A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think [2 Peter 3:8-9].

Trust in God
Trust in God
Though the storms start your day
Though the turbulence appears to stay
Take not your heart off what He spake
But trust in His unfailing words and ways;
Though the earth may seem to quake
Though all around may seem to shake
Be confident that He has His eyes on you
And sleep in peace for a new day;
He is a God that does not change

Though the circumstances tell a tale
Nothing should change your hope or faith
Established on who He is and what He’s done
But focus on Him, the truth, and the Word;

It's Not About Some Things...
It's All About You (and Who I am in You)
It’s not about the physical
Though many give You glory for it
It has also brought close those that caused grief
‘Cos I didn’t know it’s not about the looks
It’s not about the status
For such things are changeable
How high can I go, how much can I have
There's a limit to things that are not eternal
It’s not about the education
For I’ve strived so hard to show I’m better
Spending my life in competition
To attain things that give no fulfillment
It’s not about the gifts and talents
That make me try so hard to show I’m different
When already I am unique
And you have given me individualism
It’s not about those things I call strengths
That make me feel my achievements are my making
For I am nothing without You
And my strength I draw from You
It’s not about the adornment
Of clothes and jewelry that tell lies
When deep down I feel emptiness and worthlessness
And the adornment is nothing but a façade
It’s not about the eloquence
That makes me place myself on a pedestal
For even he that can’t read speaks much better
As long as he has wisdom from You

I realize all I am is not about me

The Inspiration
It started out as a dream. 3 friends of mine and myself were thanking God for the miracles HE had done in our lives and in the life of one of us in particular. Then one of my friends started singing this song “Time Will Tell” and we all joined in, accepting that we would soon see the manifestation of what HE has promised.
I woke up singing the song but by the time I came to reality, all I remembered was the tune and the words “Time Will Tell”. I decided to write it down while I was in the “White House” and the song above came into being. However the places where you see “It is here” was “Time will tell”.
I know something about my God. First of all, HE has given me everything that pertains to life and godliness [2 Peter1:3]. I also know that God is not a man, that HE should lie; or the son of man, that HE should change HIS mind; That which HE has spoken HE will do and that which HE has promised HE will fulfill [Numbers 23:19]. Knowing these things, among others, made me receive HIS promises and blessings in faith, and so I said I am not waiting for time to tell me anything. I know I already have them. It is here.
Beloved, I do not know what you are believing God for. I just want to tell you it is here as long as it is HIS will for you. Simply receive it in faith and await its manifestation. When it manifests be like the one out of the ten lepers who glorified God. Remember to give HIM thanks.

I was on an early morning flight. No book to read, no music to listen to, forgot the words I should be meditating on (don’t blame me too much. I thought I had understood it when I rushed through it that early morning. It had to do with freshness and I remember the bible passage was in Romans. I must have been thinking of other things as usual. So much for understanding). As the plane began to take off, HE said, “I’m taking you to a new level (in your life), higher than you can imagine.” And I replied (imagining that the new level was in the air), “Well, let me get some sleep. Wake me up when we get there!”

As I laid back and closed my eyes, I started humming a tune. I tried to remember which song I was singing but I hadn’t heard it before. I tried putting words to it but all I could sing was “Amazing Love”. HE urged me to write it even if it was two words but I wanted to sleep so I told HIM to leave me to rest. Then HE reminded me that by the time I sleep, wake up, get to work, think about all the things HE won’t have me thinking, I would have forgotten there was a tune not to mention words. Since I feel bad when I forget an inspiration I opened my eyes and started writing in my pocket jotter. And voila! We have the lyrics for “Your Awesome Love”. These lyrics are for the next No 1 Hit.
I have had inspirations for several songs in both my life as a sinner and a believer. If not that I now believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, and I am what HE says I am, I would have said that I can’t sing. When I told him “Lord, you know I don’t sing, why give me a song?” HE replied, “One of your callings is to write so write what I tell you to write. It does not have to come in the ways you are familiar with.” Then HE reminded me of Moses who stammered and Aaron who assisted him. HE said to me, "Just do what I say you should do. I have given you all it takes to do it. Where I know you will need help, I will send help to you."
Message for YOU Today…
Forget your limitations today and focus on your strengths. HE wants you to use what HE has given you to glorify HIM. Do what HE wants you to do. Do not fear to ask for help where you are not strong. And believe me, when you do what HE says you should do with what HE has given you, HE will help you in those areas where you think you lack.

Welcome - You are in the right place at the right time!!!
Welcome to the blog of EROLyrics. If you recall words that have “ero” as prefixes, you will know they have something to do with love. Well, goodnews is ERO are my initials, nothing sexually stimulating will be found here (as with most words that have to do with ero), and EROLyrics represents lyrics that are born out of my love for God. All poems, songs, etc are of God and dedicated to HIM.
In this blog, I’m going to share with you some lyrics, what they mean and how the inspirations came about. I pray that by reading through you will be blessed. Please share this with all those you know. You are not here by chance, you are here because God wants you here to know how loving HE is and how great you are because you are made in HIS image.
Let me do some marketing here. I am working with a team of gifted and anointed writers (among other professions) to start a magazine. Please be expectant because once it is out you will be the first to know. There will be no other magazine like it because it is going to be loaded with all you need (not want) for your spirit, soul and body. It is going to be nourishing and will help your form stronger and deeper roots in the Word of God. The first issue will be talking about the Love of God and I want to give an excerpt here.
Hosea 2:14 – 15 (NLT).
14 "But then I will win her back once again. I will lead her out into the desert and speak tenderly to her there.
15 I will return her vineyards to her and transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope. She will give herself to me there, as she did long ago when she was young, when I freed her from her captivity in Egypt.
Take a moment to reread those words and let them speak to you.
Imagine you love someone. So much. And that person hurts you terribly. Unforgivably. But you find yourself forgiving, forgetting, and calling him/her aside to speak nicely, enticingly to the person, loving the person like you’ve never loved before… restoring the relationship and all the person could want…Can you imagine doing that?
Better still imagine being the person that did the hurting. And your loved one forgives you. Forgets everything. Calls you aside. Speaks nice words to you. Reaffirms his/her love for you. You will find yourself helplessly requiting that love (I hope).
God is love and there is no love like HIS. Sadly, people cannot connect with such love and intimacy because they do not know HIM. Just want to say that God’s love is awesome, true and you can have such love as you get to know HIM and accept you are like HIM.
Ok, ok, I said an excerpt so I have to stop here. My purpose here is simply to share my lyrics of HIM (and in some cases, words HE speaks to me). Have a wonderful reading and be blessed.
